The one where I finish my goth cavalry.

So I managed to get some hobbying done today even tho the allure of Dwarf Fortress has been strong lately. Such a lovely little rpg-builder that game is!

There really isn't much to say apart from what I already mentioned in the last post. They are Gepid Medium cavalry on the box, but since the Gepid army in DBMM (2/71) only has one type of horsie-boiz (KnF) and I use some models that actually has armor for those, these will have to be some kind of generic goths. I promise I will try to snap a few shots of the army this weekend for the blog and it will become more clear what I am talking about.

Checking thru the remains of the army-pack I see that I have this left to paint:
2 elements KnF
7 elements of WbO

All of the baggage (already have 3 bases worth painted from other sculptors)
..and that's all she wrote.

As I have an "unlimited supply" of Ps and Bw models, I think the army will grow nicely to 400+ points which is the usual size for a normal DBMM game. The goth cavalry, well. I kinda should play them as Knf, but in all honesty I think I will go by the rule of cool and use them as Herul allies (2/67) instead to differentiate them against the armored knights. Maybe.

At one point it would be kinda cool to have an all KnF army, which is easily attainable with a Gepid main-force and Herul allies even in 400 pts.

I do have more interesting army-projects for DBx coming up tho, especially in the form of DBA/HOTT-mashups. Much like I did with the Sea Peoples I will first paint the DBA army and then add fantasy elements to it. Skythians are probably next.
Speaking of the wetboiz, they will be my next big army project for DBMM once the Gepids are done. I need a book 1 army before a book 3. Book 4, no particular interest in that era at all.

Apart from finishing these, I got a few dabs on the rest of the HOTT-stuff aswell and hope to finish them tomorrow or the latest on thursday. I need to get moving on that terrain aswell.
